Kihei’s“Thai” to French cuisine |
|
When you think of Thai cooking, your taste buds may yell... “Look out, hot stuff!” But Thai dishes need not be spicy. The delicate sauces, most with a coconut milk base and peanut sauces can be mild, medium or hot. They are the closest thing to French cooking, but with an oriental flair. Sala Thai Cuisine owner and master chef, Mike Kachornsrichol, is now in Kihei after over 15 years of operating Wailuku and Paia’s most sought after Thai restaurants. It is his flair in the kitchen that makes Sala Thai dishes so special. Our favorite dishes include the Mossman Curry, Shredded Papaya Salad and Evil Prince Shrimp. Try the sauces over brown rice. The vegetarian menu, fresh fish, Thai soups and Satey are also delicious. Gourmet food at family prices. Open for lunch and diner with full bar, indoor or outdoor seating. Sala Thai Cuisine is next to Foodland in back of Kalama Village (behind Life’s a Beach) with plenty of parking. Call 808 874-8667. |
